ARTICLE XII
Amendments
SECTION 1. Amendments Initiated by Board
These Bylaws may be altered, amended or repealed by the members:
- at any regular or special meeting, provided that the notice of such meeting shall have specified the section affected and the sense of any proposed alteration or amendment; or
- by means of a mail ballot as specified in Article XI, Section 6, of these Bylaws.
SECTION 2. Amendments Initiated by Members
If ten percent or more of the members sign and submit a petition calling for the submission to the membership of a legal and appropriate amendment, alteration or repeal of one or more sections of these Bylaws, the amendment, alteration or repeal shall be submitted to the membership for a vote by means of a mail ballot as specified in Article XI, Section 6, of these Bylaws.
SECTION 3. Special Requirements for Certain Amendments
Notwithstanding any other provisions of these Bylaws, an affirmative vote of at least fifty-one percent of all members shall be required to alter, amend or repeal SECTION 2 of ARTICLE VIII or this SECTION of these Bylaws.
